From the East to the West – Birding at its very best (Spring/Early Summer Tour)

On this 19 day tour, you will travel across the entire breadth of the country and you will see an array of birds from low altitude specialties such as the Great Hornbill to high altitude birds such as the Satyr Tragopan. We can assure you that your birding experience will not leave you wanting.

For those that would like to combine their birding experience with some cultural exploration, you need not worry for there is a little bit of everything for everyone. For much of our trip, we will be birding along the roadside and you will have an opportunity to explore the many villages that we will pass along the way and interact with the locals. On this 8 day tour, you will be treated to an intense yet enjoyable birding experience (hardcore birders might want to try out a longer birding trip).

This trip is best undertaken during early spring (Late February – early March) or late fall (Late November – early December), as you will get the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the majestic Black-necked Crane that winters in the marshlands of Phobjikha.

As with all our other trips, this tour will also give you the chance to immerse yourself in Bhutanese culture if you are interested.
