Man arrested for alleged murder
3 August, 2009- The Trongsa police arrested a 38-year-old man for murdering a friend on July 29.
The incident took place in Zomkhalum, after a fight broke out between the deceased and the accused over payment deduction

According to police, four wage earners went to Trongsa to collect their payment. “After drinking about 11 bottles of beer in Trongsa, they returned to the camp,” stated the police press release.
After reaching at the camp, the accused stated that the deceased charged him for deducting Nu400 and charged him with Khukuri (knife). He retaliated and the deceased suffered from a two inches deep cut on neck and three stabs on the chest.
The case is still under investigation.
