Year ender 13 February, 2010 - Iron Male Tiger Year
There will be peace and harmony in the country in the Iron Male Tiger Year, predicts the datho (astrological calendar) released by the institute of astrology in Pangrizampa, Thimphu.
The datho says there will be no disease and famine affecting the country in the new year. However, the datho predicts untimely rainfall. It says that children born in the year of the Iron Male Tiger are not very lucky and divorce cases will increase. Instances of robbery will increase and illness from eye related diseases and influenza will also increase.

There will be two dana (inauspicious months) this year, the second and eight month of the Bhutanese calendar. Any agricultural work and other new ventures should be started by either male or female born in the Water Rabbit year (48 years) or anybody born in the year of the Fire Rabbit (24 years).

People born in the year of the Tiger, Monkey, Snake, Hog, and Horse are vulnerable to risk and the datho recommends conducting appropriate religious ceremonies (rimdos).
